Expired FUJIFILM Neopan 100 Acros

Just Shooting

Almost a year ago I received a gift from a friend, a bag full of expired film. There was a lot of color film, which I don’t use much because the developing chemicals expire very quickly. The other thing that was there and that did interest me was black and white film, specifically FujiFilm Neopan ACROS 100, my favorite film. It expired in 2015 but it doesn’t hurt to try.

I loaded a roll into my Canon Elan 7ne/EF 50mm 1.8 STM combo and headed towards Old San Juan, this time to Parque del Tercer Milenio, a Park/Beach/Sports Complex in San Juan. I spent the entire roll on that morning and when I got back home I processed it in PMK Pyro, 14 mins. at 70°F. To my surprise the photos came out quite well, good contrast and sharpness. The best news is that I still have 5 rolls left. =)
